David Katte started in the Customs and Freight Forwarding industry in 1983 and has been involved in the NSW Customs Agents Association and NSW and Customs Brokers & Forwarders Council of Australia (CBFCA ) since 1988. He was Managing Director of the century old Frank Cridland Ray Katte Customs Agencies prior to it's acquisition by BCR Australia Pty Ltd in 2008, and is the founding partner, Director and CEO of BCR Australia Pty Ltd. In addition to his commercial roles, he is currently Chairman of the CBFCA.

David has been heavily involved with Customs Electronic Initiatives for the past 20 years, including the introduction of Compile II, EFT, SCA, Electronic Lodgement and the move to and from Tradegate.

He was heavily involved within industry representation regarding Cargo Management Reengineering (CMR) prior to it's implementation on 12 October 2005, and has been representing the CBFCA since that time as part of the Industry Action Group, Alternate Cargo Reporting Working Group, and numerous other Australian Customs and Boarder Protection Industry Engagement initiatives.
