PortBIS - Container Parks Messaging

Release the final version of the Message Implementation Guidelines (Version 1.0) for the development of COPARN messages which has been developed by Tradegate Australia Limited in conjunction with Shipping Australia Limited.

It addresses the following functions -

  • Shipping company advice to one or more parks of empty containers to be released to trucking companies for export packing
  • Release the final version of the Message Implementation Guidelines (Version 1.0) for the development of COPARN messages which has been developed by Tradegate Australia Limited in conjunction with Shipping Australia Limited.

This document for the first time in Australia implements an across-the-industry standard approach to these functions. It has been developed through extensive consultation with not only shipping companies and the larger container parks but also associated organisations such as 1-Stop via the Parks EDI Messaging Working Group.

Importantly, it is based on the UN/Edifact standard for the Container Announcement Message Version 03A (D03A) and the Ship Planning Message Development Group’s recommendations for the use of the COPARN.

This document and any future upgrades that become necessary at any time in the future will always be available at the following location http://www.tradegate.org.au/support Shipping company advice to one or more parks of empty containers to be returned to those parks by trucking companies
