Our products and services are designed to add value to the international trading process by utilising data for multiple purposes, resulting in less errors, improved productivity and lower costs. Our products and services fall into three categories:

On-line Value Added E-commerce services

Tradegate has developed a market leading suite of value added services targeted at the service providers to the international trade and transport industry. These products have been developed for both the export and the import markets.

Smartimports - an online service that enables Importers, Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders to receive electronic pre-alerts and arrival notices, make electronic payments and obtain electronic Import Delivery Orders (eIDOs) from shipping lines and airlines. It also includes Forwarder to Forwarder releases and PIN release numbers to CTOs.

ExportNet - a web based system that allows exporters to request Export Delivery Numbers (EDNs) and Consolidation Reference Numbers (CRNs) from Customs and send electronic Pre-Receival Advices (PRAs) to the CTOs

Payments - a web based system that allows importers and their agents to electronically pay freight and other charges and to receive eIDOs. It is integrated with Smartimports and also provides electronic invoicing.

TransCode - Users of electronic messaging use common codes that are assigned and maintained by government and industry agencies. These codes are available from the Transport Code Repository both as lookups and as downloads. Automated updates are also available.

EDI and Secure Messaging

Tradegate has been a major supplier of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messaging services since 1989. Today, over 3 million EDI messages per month pass through its many-to-many messaging platform, Smartrade.

Tradegate's EDI service supports secure messaging to Australian Customs as well as commercial EDI messaging between shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and container terminal operator's messaging gateways.

Message Direct - Tradegate's secure EDI messaging service that links customs brokers, freight forwarders and importers directly to the Australian Customs Service

MessageXchange - Tradegate's any-to-any message service that translates an electronic message from the sender's format to the receiver's format and vice versa. This enables true straight-through-processing (STP) and eliminates errors and improves timeliness.

PKI Hosted Certificates - Tradegate provides the only Australian Customs Service approved secure environment to host a company's Type 3 Host (server) certificate.

Internet Access and Network Services

Tradegate supplies a range of Internet access products to its members. These services range from standard Internet grade ADSL to business grade SHDSL connections.
