Tradegate Sells E-commerce Business to Commerce Plus
Tradegate announced on 30 September that it had sold its e-commerce transactional business to Commerce Plus Pty Ltd. Commerce Plus is owned and operated by former Tradegate employees Faulkner Macdonald, Dominic Coles and Steve Ware. With over 40 years experience in the international trade and transport industry supporting Tradegate’s e-commerce services, Tradegate feels that Commerce plus was the best owner of the business.
As a key element of the purchase Commerce Plus has agreed to maintain existing prices for Tradegate Members for a period of 12 months, that is until 30 September 2012. This is a significant benefit to Members.
Included in the sale are all of Tradegate’s e-commerce services including:
- Smartimports
- ExportNet
- ImportNet CMR
- HAZ
- PortBIS
- Transcode
- Managed Mail/Message Direct
- Internet services
- Payments
Tradegate’s Membership has not been sold and this remains with Tradegate.
